The UK's FCA is implementing a new #regulation, "Consumer Duty". It applies to any company selling financial products to retail consumers. Screw up badly enough and senior managers go to prison.

Europe is putting in place its Central Securities Depositories Regulation (CSDR) on February 1.
"For trades that do fail, SDR will impose daily penalties or charges as well as mandatory buy-ins."
