We are pleased to announce our newest Community Partner in the United Kingdom Jovita Tam.
Jovita is taking the reigns as a Community Partner to lead our UK community and will bring with her many years of experience and connections to take us to the next level globally.
Jovita is a natural connector and community builder; we are fortunate to have her as a Community Partner and Global Ambassador. Professionally, she is a change agent, strategist, thought leader, engineer, and attorney (NY & UK). Jovita has 15+ years of global experience in enabling/empowering visions, scaling businesses, and building business resilience. She is passionate about building space for innovation, creativity, and growth.
Jovita says, "We should embrace change and shape the future with today’s decisions. The space between stimulus and response lies our power, growth, and wisdom to recognize what truly matters."
With that said, our former UK Community Partner Elena Aono has moved to Miami, Florida with her husband and is starting a new personal and professional life in the United States. While it is sad to see Elena leave the UK, where she built our community from the ground up, I am happy to announce that Elena will still be very involved with FinTech Connector. More to come in a future announcement.
We want to thank Elena for her years of support and leadership in our mission and vision to connect the fintech world.
Angel Lorente, Founder and CEO, had this to say, "While we will miss Elena and all that she has done in the UK for us, I am happy to have Jovita join us and bring her experience, professionalism, and strategic insights for community building and networking to FinTech Connector. I am excited to see the UK members reengage with our platform and to help them as they connect, collaborate, and create fintech innovation. Here's to the next chapter connecting experts, executives, and entrepreneurs around the world." Read more

Welcome, Jovita.
Hi Fintech Connectors!
Happy 2024!
Some of you may have seen my post in 2023 calling for Non-Executive / Company Directors to participate in a program I was developing.
Since then, the program, in partnership with Mastercard, titled "Fintech Pathway to Effective Governance", has finished, and nine fintechs participated in the program.
Here is the press release we issued in November.
Feel free to reach out with any questions, especially if you are a fintech scaling globally.

I wrote an article that highlights the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation in banking and covers points on having a well-thought-out plan, organizational culture, and how to get started with partners that have done it already.
